Childhood Trauma

Individuals who engage in criminal activity and have been incarcerated have higher rates of childhood abuse, neglect, and other traumas.  Studies show that the percentage of individuals with childhood trauma in the prison population outweigh the general public.

Addiction

Mental Health

While mental health diagnoses and trauma are becoming more common in the general population, the rate of occurrence in individuals who have committed crimes and have been incarcerated are significantly higher than the general population. Pre and Post incarceration trauma and mental health issues continue to effect those who offend.
