Board Membership & Committees
We welcome community participation to support our organizations governance. Community members interested in joining our board of directors or various committees can get more information about specific opportunities by contacting us at admin@hamilton-bridge.ca
The Bridge has several committees that run monthly and assist the board and staff with the mission of The Bridge.
The Finance Committee oversees the financial aspects of the organization in assistance with the Treasurer, Accountant, Board Chair, and Senior Staff. – Chairs, Aydan Schat & Leeanne Smith-Cummins
The Fundraising Committee assists the Finance committee and Program Committee by creating and executing fundraising efforts to help fund quality programming at The Bridge- Chair, JoAnn Carrothers
The Building Committee works to execute the re-build of our 319 Transitional Housing Building- Chair, Wayne Baker
The Program Committee works with senior staff to find suitable programs to assist our clients with their needs. They also report the suitable programs to the Finance Committee in order to help arrange funds for programs which will come from grants, donations, and fundraising monies from the Fundraising Committee- Chair, Sarah Warry
As you see, all of our committees work with each other to help run a smooth process. The Board Chair and senior staff also help by attending and providing information to the Chair of each committee.
Our Secretary, Denise Mirabelli, gathers reports each month from each committee Chair to draft each month’s board meeting agenda. The Chair of each committee then reports to the Board of Directors about what’s happening with each committee and takes advice from the Board on next steps.
We are excited to welcome our new board members for the 2023-2024 year. The new board brings a number of different talents, and we are looking forward to their contributions this year.
